10AM and 11AM SESSIONS

“What is an EOP? And Do I Even Need One?” | Speaker: Galen C. Baxter, Georgia Department of Public Health

If your food service establishment has been affected by a water or natural gas interruption, or electrical outage, do you know if you can still serve food? This session will cover the issues and concerns regarding contents of an Emergency Operations Plan if you would like to continue operations during an Emergency Event. We will cover what is required in the plan and how to assess your facility to determine what emergency interruptions you can maintain operations through and how to operate safely.

1PM SESSION

“Crisis De-Escalation – are YOU prepared?” | Speaker: Michael Williams, Ironwood Insurance

We judge ourselves by our intentions and others by their behavior. Did you know that in most cases, you can prevent escalation of disruptive behavior with your own nonverbal behaviors? The ability to organize your thinking and calmly respond are effective de-escalation techniques that can help you avoid a potential crisis in your restaurant. In this session, you’ll learn how to look beyond these behaviors and see others positive intentions that are being miscommunicated and thus creating an unhappy customer and an unsafe environment.

2PM SESSION

"Big Data Driving Actionable Insights" | Speaker: Chad Lane, Worldpay

Everyone is speaking about big data and how powerful it can be to drive revenue. However, what is it and how do you actually drive value out of it? Data is still only data unless it can be turned into insights that drive action. This session will breakdown the areas inside and outside of a restaurant where data is created and how to use it to ultimately drive growth.
